Bailey Tutoring Service believes success comes from within through building your confidence in math and the learning process.

I'm Holly Bailey and along with my husband George Bailey, we founded Bailey Tutoring Services.

I'm a certified 6th - 12th grade math teacher with over 17 years experience in helping to foster confidence in the math learning process. From my first classroom in Maine, to online at Florida Virtual School and then my own tutoring family, I've helped students regain a joy of learning math for over 17 years.

My Story. . .

I am also a former struggling math student! Can you believe it?! It's true. I had a very good friend of our family, who through persistence and constant tutelage from Pre-Algebra through Trigonometry, helped me to learn that I was not bad at math, I was simply still learning. I went on to earn academic scholarships and graduated in 2000 from the University of Rhode Island with a double major in Civil Engineering and German.

Mr. Derek Meier

6th - 12th Math

I began my teaching career in 2014 teaching fourth grade at Glendale Christian School in Vero Beach, Florida.  Since then, I have progressed to become a teacher of Middle and High School level math subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus, and all concentrations in between.  I have  a deep passion for education and the success of each of my students. I take great pride in experiencing the joy that comes from a young person comprehending concepts that have previously been a challenge for them.  In addition to my work inside the classroom, I have been tutoring students throughout Indian River County and the state of Florida for as long as I have been a professional teacher.
After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Geoscience from the University of Florida in Gainesville, I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy time with my family as well as just about any type of athletic competition or outdoor activity.

Ms. Victoria Dearman

6th - College Math

I'm Victoria Dearman, and I'm passionate about sharing my love of learning. As a homeschooler, I was encouraged to be curious about the world, learn problem-solving, and not to give up when I wasn't "a natural" at something.. and math was one of those things! I started to struggle in middle school, so I threw myself into learning, growing, and getting better at math. I didn't know anyone who was "good at math" past Algebra 1, so I had to learn a lot about teaching myself from the ground up. I worried I wouldn't be able to keep up, but I worked hard and earned a 5 in the Algebra 1 EOC and a perfect score in the PERT math section. Since then, I've gained five years of experience as a mathematics peer tutor at Indian River State College and a private tutor. My hard work in high school earned me an SAT math score in the 98th percentile and a full scholarship to Florida Southern College. Now, I'm pursuing my Bachelor's in Integrative Biology with minors in Mathematics and Data Analytics. I hope to use both my personal journey and my experience as a tutor to help students grow as curious, independent, life-long learners!

Testimonials

"I think it’s really cool we can go to an interactive live class twice a week and learn math in a fun, accepting environment. Mrs. Bailey is really good at communicating steps and concepts that are hard to understand. "

Maden Schiermyer - Algebra 1

"Between passing the PERT test, passing College Algebra with an A, and helping my ACT math score go up, you have done wonders! Not only did you make math simpler to understand, but you also made it fun! You are truly an amazing teacher and I am SO grateful for you! I would not be where I am without you! Thanks again!

~ PERT, ACT, Algebra 2 - Gracie Beckley

" I loved how patient and understanding you are about turning in work. You are very with it, and always willing to help. I was glad to have had you! "

~ Algebra 2 class ~Mia

"Tutoring with Holly Bailey has changed my daughters life! Math used to be a nightmare. We struggled daily and she literally hated math. Now, not only does my daughter understand math, she enjoys it and has gained so much confidence! Holly is a true educator and we're so grateful to have found her!"

 ~ Nicole Capra

"I'm in Algebra 1 with Miss Holly. As a 7th grader, Algebra 1 seems like a lot to take on but Miss Holly makes it easy. I will be doing future classes with her because of how easy she makes it. I'm never stressed at about it at all."

~ Algebra 1 Class ~ Acelynn Rugar

"I cannot recommend Holly's teaching enough! My 11th grader struggled with high school math and failed his first attempt at the PERT (college readiness test for dual enrollment) Holly identified and reinforced the concepts that my son was missing and, within 3 months, he had successfully passed the PERT and is taking dual enrollment courses at IRSC. My 9th grader is currently taking Holly's Algebra 1 intensive course, and describes her as nice, patient, and "the best math teacher" he's ever had. She is THE BEST."

~ Christine Imler

"Holly has gone above and beyond to work with our daughter. She really cares and goes the extra mile to build  confidence . As a parent, I am super happy and highly recommend Holly."

~ Mark Sartain

"Thank you for giving Peyton such a positive experience with his first "real" class and teacher experience. He told me he does like the class and you're a good teacher. We are thrilled with the class and your instruction and his progress. I'm hoping we can continue with whatever classes you choose to offer in the future."

~ Joy Nottage

"Holly Bailey has been tutoring/teaching my three kids now for four years. She is patient and compassionate. My favorite thing is how she can adjust learning styles to each child! I have some that learned common core math before they homeschooled and some that didn't. She can easily adjust to that. She also keeps them on task and is there for them whenever they need help! Holly is the best!"
